Design and construction of express road S17 Piaski – Hrebenne, section no. 4
The project covers the design and construction of the S17 express road on the Piaski–Hrebenne corridor, Section No. 4, extending from the Izbica (Tarzymiechy) interchange (excluding the interchange) to the Zamość Sitaniec interchange (including the interchange), with a total length of 9,889.75 metres.
Implemented within the communes of Stary Zamość and Zamość, the project will substantially enhance regional connectivity by linking key urban centres with the region’s primary transport corridor.
Scope of works
The S17 expressway section forms part of the strategic Piaski–Hrebenne transport corridor, running predominantly through agricultural and meadow areas.
- Construction of two road interchanges: Stary Zamość and Zamość Sitaniec
- Execution of 26 engineering structures, located both along the expressway and on intersecting roads
- Modernization of underground and surface infrastructure, including adjustments to the local road network
Schedule and Contract Value
The contract with the Investor was signed on 20 August 2024. The gross contract value amounts to PLN 503,961,270.18.
The contract covers full design and construction works, as well as the obtaining of the occupancy permit, to be completed within 41 months from the Commencement Date.
Benefits for the Region
The new infrastructure will improve accessibility from Zamość County to the regional capital and increase traffic efficiency towards the state border.
=Planned engineering structures will ensure the continuity of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, while dedicated solutions for animal migration will help minimise the project’s environmental impact.
