Design and construction of express road S17 Piaski – Hrebenne, section no. 4: Izbica (Tarzymiechy) interchange without the interchange – Zamość Sitaniec interchange together with the interchange (total length 9,889.75 m).
The project in the communes of Stary Zamość and Zamość will significantly improve regional connectivity by linking key towns with the main transport corridor of the region.
Scope of works
The S17 expressway section is part of the strategic Piaski – Hrebenne corridor running through predominantly agricultural and meadow areas.
- Construction of two interchanges: Stary Zamość and Zamość Sitaniec.
- Execution of 26 engineering structures along the expressway and on intersecting roads.
- Modernisation of underground and surface infrastructure together with adjustments to the local road network.
Schedule and contract value
- The contract with the Investor was signed on 20 August 2024.
- The gross contract value is PLN 503,961,270.18.
- The scope covers complete design works, construction works and obtaining an occupancy permit within 41 months from the Commencement Date.
Benefits for the region
The new infrastructure will improve access from Zamość county to the regional capital and increase traffic efficiency towards the state border.
Planned engineering structures will ensure continuity of vehicle and pedestrian traffic and enable animal migration, limiting the environmental impact.
